Plant Walk: Wild Edibles

  • Vadnais-Sucker Lake Regional Park 4500 Rice Street Vadnais Heights, MN, 55127 United States (map)

Boost your nutrition with wild, edible plants. We will meet at Sucker Lake Regional Park for an easy hike where you will learn how to ID a variety of wild edibles. We will engage our senses of touch, taste and smell as we get to know these delicious and healthy plants.  We will discuss the benefits of incorporating wild food into your diet as well the medicinal benefits of the plants we see.  Recipe ideas will be provided.  We will not be harvesting on our plant walk, but you will leave prepared to spot, positively ID, harvest and prepare wild foods for yourself and your family.

Fee for a single plant walk: $45.00

Sign up for the full plant walk series for a discounted rate, $40.00/class + a $50 dollar discount on the Herbal Medicine Making Workshop.

Fee for the full plant walk series + Medicine Making Workshop: $225

*Class will happen rain or shine, but if the weather is really bad (pouring rain/storms) class will be rescheduled for Thursday 5/20, 6:30-8:00pm.
