Elder is one of the most magickal plants.  Used across the ages, she often appears in folklore.  Both her flowers and berries can be made into plant medicine that is safe and effective for people of all ages. Elder is a super food and can be turned into delicious syrups and cordials to promote good health.  This class will have more talking and tasting than walking.  We will meet in St. Paul, near lake Phalen for a short walk as you learn how to spot Elder from a distance. We will engage our senses as we get to know her.  We will then have a lecture about the many medicinal uses of Elder.  I will bring several different Elder preparations for you to try. If the timing is right, we can also harvest Elder to make tincture. Regardless, you will leave prepared to spot, positively ID, harvest and prepare Elder for yourself and your family.
